This is an ERASMUS MUNDUS scholarship program for academics and administrative staff in Africa, Caribbean, and Pacific; hence the name MUNDUS ACP. The scholarship program is funded by the European Union. Its objectives are to foster regional cooperation schemes between selected higher educational institutions in European countries and their counterparts in developing countries and also to reduce the brain drain problem associated with training academic staff from developing countries in developed countries. The scholarship is a four year project that started in 2010.
Who Can Apply?
The following can apply for the scholarship
1. Student (Masters and Doctorial) and academic and administrative staffs of developing countries who want to pursue their activities with one of the European partner institutions.
a. Masters Students will carry their studies in Europe with one of the partner institutions of the project for a period of 20 months. (For masters eligibility criteria please refer to the scholarship website given below)
b. The Doctorate students however will have to undertake a study activity under the doctoral program they are enrolled in the host country in one of the European partner institution for a period of 10 months. (Again for eligibility criteria see the official website of the scholarship)
c. The administrative staff will work in one of the European Partner institution and par take in activities that involve the sharing of knowledge, skills, and experience for a period of one. eligibility criteria please refer to the scholarship website
2. Academic and administrative staff in the European partner institutions willing to work in one of the partner institutions in the ACP country and be involved in activities that involve sharing of knowledge, skills, and experience.
Winners of the scholarship are entitled to the following;
1. Monthly stipend for accommodation and feeding at the host institution, depending on the mobility you are participating in
§ Masters Student: 1000 euro per month
§ Doctoral Student: 1500 euro per month
§ Administrative Staff: 2500 euro
2. Health insurance for travel, health, and accidences
3. Travel tickets to and from the host institution
